Abstract: PL 93-378, FOREST AND RANGELAND RENEWABLE RESOURCES ACT OF 1974, MANDATES THE FOREST SERVICE TO PERIODICALLY ASSES THE SUPPLY AND DEMAND SITUTATION FOR ALL FOREST RESOURCES INCLUDING OUTDOOR RECREATION. THIS SURVEY WILL UPDATE SIMILAR STUDIES CONDUCTED IN 1964 AND 1971 AND WILL PROVIDE UNIQUE TREND DATA ON THE GROWTH OF THE CAMPGROUND INDUSTRY IN A "BELLWETHER" STATE. THE DATA COLLECTED WILL BE SUMMARIZED AND EXAMINED FOR TRENDS IN MACHIT SEGMEN
