Abstract: UPON LOCAL GOVERNMENT REQUESTS, A STUDY OF AN ELEVEN-COUNTRY AREA IN NORTHCENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA IS BEING CONDUCTED BY USDA. THIS STUDY DETERMINES THE NEEDS AND ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLANS FOR THE TYPE, SIZE, NUMBER, KIND, ARRANGEMENT, AND LOCATION OF IMPROVED FACILITIES NEEDED TO MARKET AND DISTRIBUTE FOOD PRODUCTS IN THE RALEIGH AREA.
