Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO PROVIDE BASIC STATISTICAL DATA THAT WILL BE USED BY THE BUREAU OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS IN PREPARING THE INPUT-OUTPUT TABLES. THESE TABLES INDICATE THE INTERMEDIATE FLOW OF GOODS AND SERVICES AMONG INDUSTRY GROUPS AND PROVIDE THE BENCHMARK FOR THE REGULAR GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT ESTIMATES. ADDITIONALLY, THE DATA ARE USEFUL IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW PRODUCER PRICE INDEX AND IN THE COMPUTATION OF THE NET OUTPUT-PER-EMPLOYEE HOUR INDEXES
