Logging Operations Standard (29 CFR 1910.266)

The collection of information contained in the Logging Operations Standard are necessary to reduce workers' risk of death or serious injury by requiring employers to ensure operating and maintenance instructions are available on machines or in the area where the machine is operated. For vehicles, employers must ensure that operating and maintenance instructions are available for each vehicle. The Standard also requires the employer to provide training to workers and to certify that they have provided this training.
