Code Description
Name of the unit as listed in your institutional records (These are the names used in the unit status menu and on
your unit list. Do not report your school name for every unit.)
Identifier for the unit as listed in your institutional records (Examples: BIO, 12345, BIOL5)
Six-digit CIP code (Example: XX.XXXX). Each row of data should include either CIP or GSS code, but not both
Three-digit GSS code. Each row of data should include either CIP or GSS code, but not both
Unique identifier for individual record (80 alphanumeric character max) Do not include Personally Identifiable
Information (PII) including name, social security number, student ID, etc.
