General Comment
I believe the reporting and recordkeeping requirements for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
are necessary to ensure the program is managed correctly and fairly. While there are many steps, forms,
and tracking requirements involved for agencies and authorized vendors, those processes help maintain
organization, accountability, and proper distribution of benefits to eligible seniors.
The transition to more electronic systems also seems like a positive improvement that could help reduce
paperwork and make reporting more efficient over time. Overall, although the process may be detailed
and sometimes time consuming, it appears to accomplish the goal of running the program accurately and
efficiently year after year.
